چکیده
Rainwater harvesting (RWH) is one of the essential alternative sources water that may be used. However, finding potential RWH locations on a broad scale has always been challenging, requiring further research. The effectiveness structures depends their design and selection suitable sites. This study aimed to select sites for rainwater in Garmian region Kurdistan-Iraq, using GIS Remote Sensing (RS) techniques. Two multicriteria analysis (MCA) techniques: analytical hierarchal process (AHP) Fuzzy (FAHP) were used comparison purposes identify A suitability map systems was then generated following weighted linear combination (WLC) Gamma methods. outcomes showed that, unlike most recent studies, which relied minimum maximum local rainfall values, agreed-upon depth should as benchmark when classifying obtain realistic results. findings also 9.7%, 43.4%, 33.6%, 13.3% have very high, moderate, low harvesting, respectively, depending produced by WLC method. outcome technique appeared more revealed 10.6%, 15.6%, 26.6%, 21.9%, 25.3% low, appropriateness respectively. methods adopted this can helpful researchers field achieve reliable Also, study’s assist well-organized resource management planning ensure sustainable development region.

Multi-Criteria Assessment of Land Cover Dynamic Changes in Halgurd Sakran National Park (HSNP), Kurdistan Region of Iraq, Using Remote Sensing and GIS
Halgurd Sakran National Park (HSNP) is Iraq’s first designated national park, located in the Kurdistan Region, which has suffered multiple armed conflicts over the past decades. This study assesses how vegetation dynamics have affected the landscape structure and composition of the core zone of the park over the last 31 years. Spatio-temporal changes in land cover were mapped for three points i...

Iran has mountainous landscapes and half of its surface is occupied by highlands. Moreover, Iran is an arid country and deserts are located at lower altitudes. Most metropolitan areas are positioned in mid-altitudes between mountain and desert. Cities grow upwardly toward the highlands under pressures of urbanization and desertification. Foothill ecotones are a zone between upland mountains and...

متن کاملEvaluation of SEBAL Model for Evapotranspiration Mapping in Iraq Using Remote Sensing and GIS
Evapotranspiration is one of the major parameter in the hydrologic cycle. Standard measurements of this parameter is quite complex due to various factors such as variation of precipitation amount, spatial variation by latitude and longitude and changes in environment and specific site conditions. Although of this complexity, various methods were developed to estimate actual and potential Evapot...
